Underpinning
The Company has extensive underpinning experience and has worked on numerous Grade 1 listed buildings, including The Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park, The Royal Albert Hall, The British Museum and a London Department Store. As well as underpinning, the works also included construction of new basements and the downward extension of lift shafts and structural columns.
Recent works include:
- York House - London; Structural support to an existing 80m x 25m basement during systematic demolition of the building, including increasing the existing 4.5m deep basement an extra 1.5m by underpinning.
- White City - London; Construction of reinforced concrete slab for new rail sidings including underpinning the station platform and retaining walls
- Middle Temple - London; Demolition, structural alterations, underpinning of existing building concrete works and drainage for construction of a new basement in a grade 1 listed building.
