Joseph Gallagher have purchased two new ISEKI tunnel boring machines for contracts in the Middle East; one set of equipment has already been delivered and completed a crossing in Bahrain, the second machine will be joining the Middle Eastern fleet in March, directly from the production factory in Japan.

The tunnel boring machine used in Bahrain was a TCS 600 id Unclemole Super Rock Machine, ideal for the harder ground conditions encountered in the Middle East. The second, is a new TCC 600 id Unclemole which is the most versatile single-cutterhead microtunnelling machine available in the world for mixed soft ground conditions.

Additionally, we have purchased two new Herrenknecht BM400 guided augerbore machines which will initially be working on a Pipe Roofing Railway Crossing at White Hart Lane, where additional access for the new Tottenham Stadium will be provided by new pedestrian subways.

The BM400 machines are ideal for working in small diameter shafts and caissons; further pipe arch contracts and more traditional works for these new machines are anticipated both in the UK and overseas.

Steve Harvey – Group Managing Director said, “Our continued investment in new equipment ensures our teams are well equipped to successfully deliver projects efficiently allowing us to add value to our existing and growing international customer base.”
