Bringing water to luxury resort-style health island in Bahrain
Joseph Gallagher Middle East are proud to announce that they have completed another successful microtunnel in the Arabian Gulf. Our ISEKI TCC1300 tunnel boring machine was retrieved after completing it’s 81 metre bore in just three days.
Situated in the heart of the Arabian Gulf, Dilmunia is a resort style luxury health island off the north-eastern coast of the Island of Muharraq. Water is currently delivered to the island by tanker and Joseph Gallagher Middle East were sub-contracted by Panorama to complete the carrier pipe which will have a 600mm water pipe inserted into it over the next few days to supply water directly to the island.
The microtunnel pipeline crossed under a very busy dual carriage way where we were just three meters from the live surface with no incident or interruption to these critical roads.
