Scottish Water has invested £100million pounds on a 5 year improvement programme to reduce flooding and increase the water quality of the Clyde.

In Greater Glasgow, Scottish Water is building a 3.1mile-long waste water tunnel, as part of the biggest upgrade to the city's waste water network in more than a century. The tunnel will be fiver time longer than the Clyde Tunnel and 4.7m in diameter, big enough to fit in a double decker bus.In addition to this, JGL have been contracted by Costain/Vinci to construct a 6m internal diameter segmental shaft, which will be used to drive two 2.1m pipejacks to connect the new 3.1m shield hall storage tunnel to the existing 9 foot Victorian brick sewer, running alongside the m8.
