Press Release
Did you know that Joseph Gallagher is a member of the Get It Right Initiative – a not-for-profit organisation whose strategic aim is to improve construction productivity and reduce waste by eliminating avoidable error?
GIRI’s research suggests that the real cost of error can be as much as 25% of project cost, which works out at an estimated £20 billion every year in the UK alone! If we can eliminate avoidable error, we can cut out rework, improve safety, reduce waste, increase productivity and reduce project costs all in one go.
All our employees can take advantage of the free webinars, newsletter and online resources that GIRI provides on behalf of its members. As well as giving staff the opportunity to be kept up to date with GIRI’s regular activities, they can access previous webinars which have been made available on GIRI’s YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXi0343msZmbinVWkESoaXw.
Whether you need to know what the Building Safety Bill will mean for you; how you can use best practice to avoid damage from construction fires or escape of water; or just want to know a bit more about the real cost of error, GIRI has a selection of short webinars and videos that cover all these and more.
The latest series of GIRI online forums take place every three weeks through February and March, and offer hour-long events that are free for members to attend. They cover leadership and decision-making; what we should learn from recent errors that had catastrophic consequences; and will be revisiting the Building Safety Bill and its implications for the industry.
