Bond Street Station Upgrade wins the prestigious Global Tunnelling Project of the year (under $500m) Award at the 2014 New Civil Engineer International Tunnelling and Underground space Awards.
The overall purpose of the scheme is to upgrade a very busy station to relieve congestion caused by heavy demand and to improve access for mobility impaired passengers. This is being achieved by providing a new station entrance, a new satellite ticket hall, a new route to the Jubilee Line, improved interchange between the lines, new lifts and escalators, connections to existing LUL infrastructure and a direct connection to the new Bond Street Crossrail station, opening in 2017.
Well done to our Bond Street teams who have work together with CoLOR to achieve this amazing award for London Underground.
