Spreading Christmas Cheer with GotoGrow Tameside: A Heartwarming Day of Giving Back
At Joseph Gallagher Group, giving back is at the heart of our LIFE culture. Each year, we commit to supporting organisations that make a genuine difference to the communities we work in, and in 2025 we have been proud to partner with GotoGrow Tameside as our LIFE charity .GotoGrow Tameside operates across four community centres, each providing crucial support to children, parents, and families in need. Their work ranges from offering safe spaces for young people, to providing food, clothing, wellbeing support and development opportunities. The dedication of their staff and volunteers helps hundreds of families each year regain stability, confidence and hope.
A Magical Christmas With the Santa Bus
This Christmas, we wanted to help bring some festive magic to the families supported by GotoGrow. We were delighted to sponsor a “Santa Bus”, which visited all four centres and delivered presents to 170 children and families.
The day was filled with fun, laughter, and heartwarming moments as excited children met Santa and received gifts selected especially for them. Members of our LIFE Leadership Team, Ian Matthews and Mathew Beechey, attended the event and witnessed firsthand the emotional impact this support has on families facing difficult circumstances.
Additional Support for Families
As part of our continued charitable commitment, we also donated:
- Christmas hampers
- Air fryers to be distributed to families in need
- One4All shopping vouchers for older children
- Chocolate and festive treats
These contributions help not only with the celebrations but also provide practical support during what can be a financially challenging time for many households.
Building on Our Easter Efforts
Our Christmas partnership follows the success of our Easter campaign, where Joseph Gallagher employees donated over 200 Easter eggs to GotoGrow children and families. This ongoing relationship reflects the compassion and generosity embedded in our LIFE culture.

Giving back is more than an initiative, it’s a core part of who we are. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the new year when we will be helping the centre improve the outdoor space of one of their centres ahead of the summer and helping make a positive difference in the lives of families across Tameside.
