Technical Assurance
We have extensive experience delivering projects subject to the technical assurance and approval regimes of Transport for London, National Highways and Network Rail. This includes managing asset protection, design acceptance and construction assurance for works adjacent to or interfacing with live highways and rail infrastructure. Our teams understand the specific requirements, gateways and documentation standards associated with each organisation, and work proactively to align design development, construction methodology and programme sequencing with assurance expectations. This approach reduces approval risk, protects operational assets and supports efficient progression through formal acceptance stages.
Our design team provides turn-key technical assurance services for high-risk third-party asset interfaces, managing complex assurance processes with asset owners across transport, utilities and energy networks. This includes the assessment and assurance of existing bridges, tunnels, shafts, buried utilities and pipelines, including regional gas, water and other infrastructure. Our experience allows us to navigate demanding approval processes while maintaining programme certainty and protecting live, operational assets.

This capability is underpinned by a robust Quality Management System, founded on ISO 9001:2015 and supported by ISO 10005, ISO 10006, ISO 19011 and ISO 17020. These standards provide a structured framework for quality planning, auditing, independent inspection and continual improvement. Throughout delivery, we actively engage with industry best practice through organisations such as the Get It Right Initiative (GIRI), the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and The Concrete Society, ensuring our methods remain current, rigorous and aligned with sector expectations.
By combining systems engineering discipline, rigorous assurance processes and sector-specific experience, we provide confidence that complex infrastructure is delivered safely, compliantly and fit for purpose, supporting regulatory acceptance, long-term performance and the reliable operation of critical assets.
