Joseph Gallagher Foreign Division specialises in Microtunnelling overseas to improve transportation networks and quality of water in developed and developing worlds. With a fleet of over 30 microtunnelling machines with ten of these machines currently based between Bahrain, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi, meaning we can mobilise machines quickly across the region. Our team of tunnelling experts are able to assist with the planning projects and advice on best methods of execution.
JGL Foreign Division has the capabilities to construct shafts of all sizes and in all types of ground conditions. Shaft sizes range from 2.0m id. to 25m id. by caisson from 1.5m id. to 30m id. by underpinning. Other techniques allow significant variation on these sizes.
Pipejacking provides a flexible, watertight pipeline using various excavation techniques and powerful hydraulic jacks to push the pipes through the ground behind a steered shield with minimal disruption to transportation, communities and the surface.
Horizontal Directional Drilling is used for installing underground infrastructure where other methods are costly and or not practical. We have experience in achieve highly accurate graded drilling, with fine-tuned drill processes to overcome adverse ground conditions.
110m water pipeline installation using an ISEKI TCC1300 tunnel boring machine in Bahrain.
The project consisted of 4 parallel pipelines that would eventually transport sea water from the expanding power station at Azzour to a new water desalination plant at Mina Abdulla.
To plan and execute shaft construction and associated microtunnelling works.
Non-disruptive road crossing works including 4 crossings of 1850mm OD and 2 crossings of 1450mm OD.
Microtunnelling under a major road in North Kuwait, to install 42" sleeve pipes for the use of new water, gas and oil lines.
