We are extremely proud to have people working for the Group from a multitude of nationalities - for us it's about welcoming new people and new cultures into our business whilst respecting and embracing the values they share.
With many not having English as their first language - we have trained up a group of mental health champions, many who are bilingual to help the business communicate with all our employees transparently and deliver key messages from the business.
Our Middle East team are vastly diverse with over 40 nationalities working on our last ESO project in Kuwait.
We’re proud members of ‘Women into Construction’ (WIC) since 2021. WIC have helped us to deliver our commitments in becoming an equal and diverse workforce. With the experience and expertise of the WIC team – we have been able to deliver many initiatives since becoming members.
We continue strengthening our relationship to build upon the progress we have already made with addressing gender equality in the industry.
To date, through this partnership, we have:
- Promoted our vacancies via the WIC network (encouraging more women to apply for our vacancies),
- Filled our work experience placements with candidates put forward by WIC with one is now progressing to become an apprentice,
- Received general advice/coaching as to how we can create greater diversity in our workforce.
Our culture and values are intertwined with our commitment to become a more inclusive employer and balanced employer. We’re passionate about continuing to strengthen our EDI commitments across the Group.
