ESO project hits another significant milestone out at sea!

A spectacular milestone was achieved, making engineering history in partnership with our fantastic JV partners Al Hassanain.

Following the success of one of the most complex and challenging TBM recovery’s last month, this week saw the diffuser extension of the Emergency Sea Outfall for The Umm Al Hayman Wastewater Project (one of the world’s largest wastewater projects in Kuwait), successfully launched into the Arabian Gulf.

The JV partnership with Al Hassanain has been exceptional and together we have demonstrated our capabilities in delivering world class engineering on one of the most prestigious projects in the Middle East. An incredibly talented and multi-national team have delivered excellence throughout the entire project and I applaud each and every one of them for their remarkable teamwork and work ethic.

310m long HDPE DN2400 pipe with 80nos diffuser outlet valves was fabricated by specialised teams and involved the pipe being tugged more than 30km to the location. It is here where it will be sunk and connected to the tunnel segment under the sea bed to complete this significant part of the project. Thanks to KIPICOfficial for giving us access to the jetty to allow crucial works to be carried out.
