JGL's Chesham team win charity football tournament
England may not have triumphed last Saturday but our very own Chesham team were victorious in winning the JGL staff football tournament after narrowly beating the West Ruislip team in the final, with a 4-3 win!
It was exceptionally close between both teams, where the score was 3-3 with seconds to go when Chesham scored with a 20 yard stunner to take the glory!
The top three teams were awarded cheques on behalf of the Life Leadership Team (LLT) to give to a nominated charity of there choice. The chosen charities were:
- Romanian Charity - Miros De Cer, will receive a donation of £1000
- Gweedore Day Centre in Donegal will receive a donation of £500
- Islamic Relief's Winter Appeal will receive a donation of £250
