Service Overview

If you’re in need of a high-quality shaft, then we are your people. With our extensive capabilities to construct shafts of all sizes and depths in all types of ground conditions – we have the experience, people, and tools to take on any ambitious and complex project.

Shaft sizes range from 2.0m id. to 25m id. by caisson and from 1.5m id. to 30m id. by underpinning. Constructing conventional sheet and frame construction is also an area of expertise within our teams.

Specialist techniques are frequently used during shaft construction including hydraulic jacking, pre-augering the ground and injecting with bentonite, cement and tremie when concreting the bases.

Sinking a shaft can be carried out on site or in the road and/or footpath. This method can be used to tackle a variety of engineering issues such as sewer repairs, sewer blockages, and sewer alterations. We can undertake shafts of all depths and dimensions.
